On instinct, I thought that your statements were written ironically; so, when I first read them, I laughed (assuming that I was laughing right along with you)—but then, in mid-laugh, I stiffened and turned ice cold and felt guilty: because I recalled having met people who believe, in earnest, even wackier stuff than the stuff that you just composed; and those Christians would answer me similarly to how you did, yet with utmost sincerity. Either way, I don’t want to act insultingly or cause offence: therefore I’m stuck. I wish that this response of mine could rise above the level of hemming and hawing, but I don’t know how to do that without making a bigoted judgment (which would sink me to the level of the church and its God)—so, again, all I can do is thank you for speaking for Jesus!

PS, re: “…what was the question?” —In case you (or anyone who wants to answer anonymously and claim that they’re you) are serious about this, I’d say the question was: “Why is the word Christianity is so important to Christians?” In other words: “Why not just discard the title ‘Christian,’ if you disagree with the church?” …For anyone who reads this and is willing to answer, I remain all ears!!Bryan Rayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11804120781497712479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7491665605856687498.post-16485873228779610852015-07-31T13:19:29.917-07:002015-07-31T13:19:29.917-07:00The Lord is busy doing something, so I will speak ...The Lord is busy doing something, so I will speak for him.
1. Though we may have some petty differences such as whether or not to count homosexuals as people, we are still united under the purpose of advertising our product. (We have had a little setback though since the trademark of Jesus Jeans)
2. We have altogether stopped casting out devils. They are kind of like a computer virus - defeating one spawns many smarter and craftier ones. We prefer to let them become lethargic and then they will eventually move into a retirement home.
3. The "strong man" refers to Russia, and "bound" is referring to trade regulations, "goods" are referring to a clone army of superhumans, and "spoiled" is in reference to kryptonite.
4. The ideal Christian is one who is able to completely accept all our teachings by faith. Not to be confused with zombies, cultists, or robots. Sorry, what was the question?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
