Crow Caw

There is a black-feathered bird known as a “crow”, and the noise that it makes is called a “caw”. Now here’s a fun fact: The caw of the crow has an adverse effect on everything real. When the crow caws, reality explodes.

So the crow soars high above the world and yells: “Caw, caw, caw” — thus, everything that is real is annihilated forever.

Now the crow flies around in the aftermath and surveys the debris. Then he flies back to his birdhouse, where he suckles his young ones with milk from his breast. But the lion waits, poised directly beneath this touching scene, ready to strike. Soon, the lion attacks and enjoys a black-feathered sandwich.

MORAL

Nature is violent and chaotic. None of its citizens follow the law — that isn’t their style. They devour one another without a qualm of conscience; their only goal is survival. They don’t have religion to instruct them about what to think, say, or do. In fact, they can’t even talk to each other, because they don’t own a single communication device — they don’t even have a body-language or instincts of any kind. That’s why we humans rule the animal kingdom, and they’re our favorite food.
