Sailboats are fun for everyone. You and I glide through the sea on a windy afternoon until we’re very far away. Our sail is puffed up with air; I hope that we don’t capsize. The surface of the deep blue ocean is reflecting a cloudless sky. The rudder helps us steer. Look: I see an octopus underwater, hiding in the seaweeds; it has sticky tentacles and a chomping beak. I’m glad that you and I decided to ride in our sailboat today, and that our skipper is wearing a hat that is aquamarine. Skipper now informs us that he has spotted a continent: “Land ahoy,” he says. And he also notes: “There is a little boy in the water who is drowning fast.” “We should save him,” you say. And I say: “Throw him a balloon.” I also add: “If we don’t rescue him immediately, he is liable to die.” Then you point and say, “Ooh, I see a mermaid who is beautiful. Let’s go talk to her.” “That’s a pretty skirt,” I say to the mermaid. “And that’s a pretty fin,” adds our skipper. “Why is your hair snaky?” you ask. And I say: “Something smells like seafood.” The mermaid declares that she will grant us all one wish. “I wish for world peace,” you and I both say at once. Then the skipper declares that he has found a leech on his person.
