- Lately I've been admiring the similarities between poets, rappers, preachers, and stand-up comedians.
- This morning I heard a knock at our sliding door, and the culprit turned out to be a tiny rodent that had banged into the glass by accident.
- The utility company's yellow-vested worker was holding a thick orange hose in front of our apartment complex. When I walked by, he waved to me - and then he shouted (in a very friendly tone, while smiling) some clever advice, which, because of the noise of his truck, I couldn't hear... but I nodded as if I was thankful. And the truth is that I was thankful.
