I attended a concert to enjoy the music of my favorite heavy metal band. I had a backstage pass, so I got to meet the lead singer. I said: “You are my favorite rock star.” She said: “Thank you, Bryan,” and then she revealed to me that one of her body parts was wholly mechanical. I asked her if this mechanical body part makes life difficult for her. She said, “Life is difficult for everybody; I don’t think I’m much worse off than the average person.” She then demonstrated how she uses a cordless remote to control this mechanical part. She also showed that the body part is removable. I asked her if I could try it. She told me where I could purchase one of my own, so I noted down this info; and now I am the proud owner of a mechanical body part. You don’t believe me? Here, look: I’ll show it to you. See, that’s proof. It is fun to steer. And it secretes oil from its valve (sorry about ruining your furniture). Now your mother enters the room and asks what I’m doing. I answer: “Look, mom, I’m a robot!” Then your mother says: “No you’re not, Bryan.” Then I offer her the cordless remote: “Here, try toying around with it.” This causes her to fall in love with me forever.
