Magnet

There is a magnet hanging from a pole in the sky:

• it ruined all the floppy data disks and screwed up everything computerized. 
• it pulled all the steel beams out of every building and tossed them onto the lost-and-found bin. 
• it ripped all the metal robots apart by their seams. 
• it went to battle the Evil Empire and shot out a fiery laser ray. 
• it swooped through the sky with giant magnetic wings and sucked the soul out of every living creature. 
• it even sucked up your little metal horse.
