Cigarettes are a serious way to enjoy this world. They help to heal your welts. I prefer to light up in church or at the motel’s pool. When I feel hungry, I blow the smoke in a stranger’s face and say: “Make my supper.” This plan of action, I find, is cheaper than committing homicide; for, if you choose the latter path, then tell me: Who do you expect will bear your children?
