Late one night, Jenny and I were drinking Miller Lite Draft Beer together. At a certain point, when we were both reaching to take another bottle out of the case, her hand touched mine, and I pulled back nervously. She said: “What’s wrong?” — I swallowed hard and answered: “Um, nothing. Everything’s normal.” Then Jenny, seeing through my façade, said in a serious voice:
“Dear Bryan, over these last few months, while we’ve been spending so much time together as friends, I’ve developed deep romantic feelings of love for you.”
Now trembling, I said: “My heart is beating so hard right now. I feel exactly the same.”
Then we moved closer until our lips touched. It was our very first kiss. — When it was over, we both blushed; and, from this point on, the whole world seemed different.
