What Happened When You Were a Child

When you were a child, you went walking around the mall. You were looking for your mother. Then you heard the voice of a stranger: he said, “Are you all alone, little one?” You explained that you could not find your mom. So the stranger took you by the hand and said that he knew where to go. He led you to the parking lot and took you to his vehicle. He assured you that your mother wasn’t far away. “Be calm,” he said. He then took out a roll of tape and bound your hands together. Then he lifted you into the trunk. You were terrified; you knew that you shouldn’t breathe too much or you’ll use up all the air. Now the car began to move fast. So you’re in the trunk, bouncing all around. You’re getting dizzy, and your heart is pounding. At this point, you recall your mother warning you not to talk to strangers. You assume that your life is over. — Suddenly the car stops, and you hear footsteps. The trunk opens, revealing blue sky; the stranger takes you out and sets you on your feet. You now see that you’re at Disneyland.
