Floating through darkness like molecules of time, we’re the outer-space librarians who use books for fuel: Public employees without any atmosphere, thus there’s not much noise — we prefer it this way. Now, where did I place my spectacles? I don’t want to strain my eyes, as I finish alphabetizing all these planets and satellites. We use laser cannons to fight off the spaceships that attack us; and friendly extraterrestrials help us improve the Dewey Decimal Classification.
